John McMillan has many years' experience in planning, delivering and coordinating projects. He carries out project management and consultancy specialising in new product launches and re-launches of ICT based products, and indeed companies.

He has a strong background in the software industry, having learned his skills with ICL in the 1970s. Since then he has launched numerous software packages and created a number of ventures. He has worked with universities to commercialise their intellectual property and has worked with several start ups. He speaks and writes on issues relating to start ups and marketing.

John also works actively in other areas. Since 1990 he has been the President of Sudbury Chamber of Commerce. Here he maintains his skills in building and motivating teams of volunteers, working with the press and local councils and delivering results. He is the leader of the Collaborate2Innovate Commercial group that encourages high technology companies to increase opportunities through networking.

John provides a lot of help for would-be entrepreneurs and new companies. He runs seminars and workshops and publishes articles. For start up companies, John provides a makeover service to refine business and marketing plans. As a venture develops, he can work with it as an interim manager, often on a part time basis, helping the founders with his experience.
